In 2023, we saw generative AI tools accelerate into the mainstream and enhance creative capabilities, enabling anyone to visualise worlds beyond those we previously thought possible.

In response to this, we created Regenerative Futures, a global AI design competition to reimagine future homes, communities and cities with generative AI tools.

The resulting concepts are hopeful yet pragmatic visions of a more regenerative and inclusive future — because multiple perspectives get to be part of the design process. By experimenting in the open and inviting global participation, we demonstrated that if AI tools are accessible and easy to use, more people can actively participate in shaping a better everyday life for people and the planet.
